Guidelines & House Rules
Rise Above aims to help an addict achieve long-term recovery through supportive sober housing.

We achieve this by offerering peer support, a structured environment, and supportive resources.

-
Peer support: Sober-living houses provide a supportive community of individuals recovering and facing similar challenges. This can give residents a sense of belonging, encouragement, and accountability.
-
Structured environment: Sober-living houses typically have rules and routines that provide structure and stability, which can benefit individuals in early recovery who may still be adjusting to life without drugs or alcohol.
-
Access to resources: Sober-living houses often have connections to addiction treatment providers, recovery support groups, and other resources to help residents stay on track in their recovery journey.
What to expect while staying at Rise Above?
We at Rise Above Sober Living understand that making the decision to commit to a sober lifestyle can be challenging, and we commend you for taking this step.
Our program is designed to provide a supportive and safe environment for all of our residents, which is why we require a minimum of thirty days of sobriety before entering our community.
If for any reason you do not meet this requirement, please know that we are here to help you in any way we can.
We will offer you a referral to a recommended rehabilitation and detox program, which will help you build a solid foundation for your recovery.
We take the safety and success of our residents very seriously, and these rules apply to everyone who chooses to be a part of our program.
We believe in your ability to overcome your addiction and create a fulfilling life for yourself, and we are committed to supporting you every step of the way.
At our houses, we aim to provide a safe and supportive environment to help you overcome addiction and achieve lasting recovery. To ensure this, we have established some important rules that all residents must follow.
Violation of any of the rules below will result in immediate dismissal from the program.
01
We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing drugs, alcohol, or any other substances onto the premises.
Regular drug and alcohol testing will be conducted to ensure everyone's compliance.
03
For the safety and well-being of all residents, curfew times will be strictly enforced. We ask that you respect these times and communicate with the house manager if you require any exceptions.
02
We believe that attending weekly house meetings is essential to building a supportive community and maintaining accountability. We appreciate your commitment to attending these meetings.
04
We take pride in maintaining a clean and orderly living environment. All residents are expected to contribute to household chores to help keep the premises tidy and welcoming.
05
We encourage respectful and constructive communication between residents to resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise.
07
Participation in an addiction recovery program, regular therapy, or support group meetings is essential to achieving lasting recovery. We expect all residents to actively participate in these opportunities.
06
If you plan to have visitors, please ensure that you have prior approval from the house manager.
08
Finally, we encourage residents to seek employment or educational opportunities to support their transition to independent living. We believe that taking responsibility for your financial stability is a crucial aspect of building a successful and fulfilling life in recovery.
